An accomplished songwriter who started writing at age 16, Chalan has made that journey many musicians hope to make to Nashville where he recorded his first music project, "It's About Time", in 1992 where he teamed up with members of Clint Black's band. Chalan has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of country music's finest such as: Tracy Byrd, Billy Joe Royal, Steve Wariner, Lorrie Morgan, Confederate Railroad, Joel Sonnier, Mickey Gilley, Highway 101, Mark Chesnutt, Marty Stuart, Les Taylor, Sammy Kershaw, Shelly West, Hal Ketchum, Exile, Tracy Lawrence, Diamond Rio, Rick Trevino, Bryan White, T. Graham Brown, McBride & The Ride, Mel McDaniels, Merle Haggard and has also performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, TN. Chalan was also on tour with Nashville recording artist, the late Amy Comeaux in the summer of 1996. Chalan has been a member of Kyle Hicks, Cary Cooley, Blaine Roy, Charley Rivers bands and has spent 12 years as a member of Kip Sonnier & Hurricane, also co-founding the classic country band Spitkup. A career that has evolved for four decades of performing can be experienced when you hear this gentleman sing. Chalan's vocal abilities are as true to country as country could be.
